What can you get?

Under Sky’s current referral information, eligible referrers and new customers can receive a voucher when the new customer joins through a unique referral link, completes the qualifying steps and pays their first Sky bill. The reward varies according to the Sky product or products purchased.

The scheme covers eligible new-customer subscriptions for products including Sky Glass, Sky Broadband and Sky Stream. Sky also states that a new or existing Sky customer subscribing to Sky Mobile for the first time may qualify. If more than one qualifying product is purchased, the reward structure can vary; Sky says that Sky Mobile may provide an additional reward when bought alongside certain other products.

How the referral process works

The process is designed to be simple:

1.Open the unique referral link shared with you.

2.Choose and purchase an eligible Sky service through Sky’s website, by phone or in a Sky retail store.

3.After completing the transaction, revisit the original referral link and enter your new Sky account number or account numbers to confirm the purchase.

4.Have the service installed, or activate your Sky Mobile account and SIM where relevant.

5.Pay your first Sky bill and complete the applicable cooling-off period.

6.Claim your voucher when Sky sends the reward invitation by email.

Sky’s official guidance says that rewards are issued after the qualifying service has been installed or activated, the first bill has been paid and the relevant cooling-off period has passed. Sky describes this as approximately 45 days after activation in its legal information.

A choice of vouchers

The reward can be selected through Sky’s rewards portal, which offers a range of e-vouchers and some physical voucher options. This may make the reward useful for everyday shopping, a future treat or a gift.

Once issued, unused reward codes expire 11 months after issue, so it is worth checking your email and redeeming the voucher before the deadline.

Important eligibility conditions

To qualify, the new customer must use the unique referral link directly shared with them and must set up the Sky account using their own payment details. For Sky Glass, Sky Broadband and Sky Stream, the new customer must also live at a different UK address from the referrer.

The new customer must enter their new account number or numbers through the original referral journey after completing the purchase. If this step is missed, Sky says the order may not count as a referral.

Rewards are not paid if the new customer cancels before installing or activating the product and paying the first bill. The referrer must remain an active Sky customer during the qualifying period. The offer is not available to Sky Group employees, cannot be used for commercial purposes and may not be combined with other offers, vouchers or incentives.
